I too was given a Hot Tub that would not get warm/hot. Checked it all out, should work, but it did not. I talked with a Hot Tub outfit in Glens Falls. The guy asked if I checked the over temp sensor....nope dont even know about that. This sensor looks just like a 2 wire temp sender on a engine, screws into the heater. If it fails open, you cant make heat. It purpose in life is to shut down the heater if the control fails and the temp runs away. New sensor was under 20 bucks as I remember. Works great now.

Yes, you will feel the heater nice and warm, not hot on the outside. When the hot tub calls for heat, the pump also turns on low speed to circulate the hot water. The heater also runs when ever you actually turn the tub on and make bubbles. The bubbles will cool the hot water unless the heater is running, but keep in mind the heater is ALWAYS controlled off/on by the thermostat.

Make sure your plugged into a GFI outlet so your dont get frizzy hair ha ha ha
