Drove up to my cabin Sunday for the first time this year and so didn't get to read the replies until now. I was hoping someone would tell me they used the same axle as a '56 Tucker Sno-Cat! It sounds like the engine is the only part that might be good for something (transplanting into a modern Jeep), but since the bad-running engine is why it's dead-lined, that's worth a lot. I could easily believe that it jumped time, though, since that appears to be a common problem. It certainly sounds like it's way out of time, just barely running if you futz with the gas a lot. The body is actually real decent, no dents or rust that I can see from a distance. It's interesting that there's starting to be some demand for them. It's not a Gremlin or a Pacer, and is actually a fairly normal looking car. I'm not sure I'd want to take all the garbage off the front of the engine to get to the timing chain, but if I end up hauling this rig out of my yard with a title for free, it sounds like it might be worth putting it on ebay and selling it as-is.
