Russ i have not seen a Hall Scott engine in my time in Canada . Must have been a U S beast the biggies here were the RD 450 and 501 .plenty of old fire equipment here was detroit powered but now the field is dominated by International 466s and allison trans plenty of pick up speed .Fire fighters here abouts, have to worry. the biggest concern with the size of equipment and speed of fire trucks is collision with another fire truck speeding to the same scene from different directions .We get a smoke show here when fire and rescue is trying to get over our bridge that cuts town in half lots of sirens lights and fuel bless them !
