Get an auto appraiser to look at it and give you a value. Make sure you pick carefully finding someone who works with old trucks and cars. Insurance companies really like these guys and they use them them selves.
My son rolled a Willys wagon. They offered very little for it even though the stated value was 8K. I found the latest appraisal on it which stated 8K. They paid the 8K once they saw it. The appraisal had been done by a person that they use quite often.
