Ever notice that frames get narrower in the front, to allow room for the wheels to turn. The wider the track, the wider the frame, the more room for the V8 engine.

Rear has no such limitation. Only ST-i-iile. So it can be made narrower to suite the artisitc lines of the vehicle.
