So, I've gone through the PWA service manual, 2 Dodge truck Manuals, The Kemper Power Wagon site, and the forum archives and all have come up with somewhat different clearances for setting new shoes on turned drums. This is for D70 brakes, which is basicly the same as the WDX-WM300 type brakes.
So I've come up with .006 for the heel (bottom) and .012 for the toe (top), Clint Dixon made a post (if I read it properly that it should be .003 for the heel and .006 for the toe, and I also read that regardless of the clearance (within reason of course) that the heel and toe should be equal.
So what say ye W300 experts? Kaegi? AAA? Marty?
