O.T. Why I hate ebay

I know there are lots of reasons, but I just got one more. I replied to an email inquiry today from a guy who had an @members.ebay.fr email address, and got a robotic reply back that said, "emails you are sending to ... from this address will be blocked soon". It appears that ebay now doesn't like my mailing to ebay members from an email address that's different from the one I registered with ebay. I don't want to change the one that's registered with ebay, but fine, the robotic reply included instructions on how to add an additional acceptable-to-them email address. In fact, it had 3 ways to do it.

The first method said to click "communication preferences" on the left side of the "my ebay" page. The problem is there is no communication preferences on the left side of the "my ebay" page. The second method said that if I'm using the beta version of my ebay (I have no idea if I am or not), place the mouse over the "account tab" and click "communication preferences" from the drop down menu. I put the mouse over the account tab and sure enough there was a long drop-down menu, but no "communication preferences" in it. It also said I could change the account information by going to http://pages.ebay.com/help/account/updating-registration-information.html. I clicked on that link and got a "page not found" message. Ebay is a frickin' computer company. Can't they even check their own instructions for dead links?

So, here they are telling me their going to start blocking my emails, and they give me three ways to fix it, none of which works. Yesterday I kept trying to list some stuff using their own "turbo-lister" program and it kept rejecting my listings, telling me that I was accepting personal checks and money orders, even though all that I had checked under "payment methods" was paypal and pick up in person. After spending a long time with google, I finally figured out that it was picking up the word "check" that was in the text of my shipping instructions. It's bad enough that they put all these ridiculous restrictions on their customers, why can't they even get the software to work right and have somebody write instructions that agree with their software? I never did find any way to add another email address.

And the woman in charge of this bunch of monkeys wants to be governor of California? If ebay is her example of how she thinks things should be done, if I was a Californian, I'd vote for the Democrat in a heartbeat, assuming Mickey Mouse isn't running this year.
