It just died, no smoke and the starter would not turnover. I don't know about the lights as I did not test them, but the left turn signal light, which has been on for a couple of months or so, stayed lit. Looking back, it could be that the turn signal light was trying to tell me something, but I could not understand that language.

I am going to do the repair detailed by Mad Electrical and see if that solves my problem.

At the same time the turn signal light stayed on the brake lights stopped working, could all be related. But the brake lights work through the trailer plug which comes from the factory installed camper plug at the front of the bed.
