But straight tube from fender to fender, floor plate about as thin as possible, probably a vertical flange of 1/8 erso on the inside, and you will look pretty stock and only need one loong weld to the pipe, no bending. Well, maybe getting the inner flange broke instead of welding it on?
That all said, I do have some aluminum running boards that I picked up at the dump. Aftermarket bolt ons. Maybe 11"x42? $1/lb. plus shipping. Or might make good tool box tops for running board mounted boxes? I think I'll go dig them out...
