They are easily swapped from side to side, just rotate the arm. But if you want the bracket at the right angle, and you are picky about having all the details right it would be easier to buy a passenger side. Trying to make a drivers side into a correct looking passenger side would be a lot of work. I am not even sure it could be properly done.
