I was talking to the owner of a mid year 1950 B-2 PW and they informed me that their truck had an "After" type transmission that they thought was original to their low mileage truck.

They shared a lot of reasons why the "Up to" transmission would not work with the later rod style parking brake mechanism, and so they felt the change in transmission was made at serial number 83919836 in Detroit, or 88766179 in California at the same time that the parking brake control was changed. That is an update to the info currently on T137.com showing the change being made in 1951.

So far the logic makes sense, and I would like to update T137 with the correct changeover. Does anyone have an original truck made after serial number 83919836 in Detroit, or 88766179 in California that has an "Up to" transmission?

Look at the link below to see images of the transmissions if you are unsure what the difference is.

Thanks!

Eric
