I beleive there are 2 chevy NV4500's, 2 wd, with different length outputs. You may have looked at the P truck long tailshaft tranny as there is a short model available.
Do a google search for the NV 4500 and you should get some good sites like Quad 4x4 and Drive Train Direct.
