The last virus my Macs had was a good 15 years ago. I used to run Virex, but don't need it. With the dual processor Pentium Macs, you can run anything you want, OS-X, OS-9, Windows and Sun systems simultaneously. On my G4 laptop, I always have 2 systems, 4 to 5 major programs and 6 minor programs going all at the same time. Macs are not limited by Mac programs!!!!
My associates and I have done ads for IBM touting PC graphics software... did the ads on a Mac and then translated them to the PC versions so they would not know. PC graphics software has always been inferior to the Mac versions. Microsoft Office programs are a nightmare throwback to primitive html systems. MS Word is a poor joke on all who have to use it! Adobe Acrobat (Mac) pdf software has revolutionized communications and the printing industry. The PC in the house is relegated to streaming video and movies.
Note: In OS-X when you close a program, you actually get your ram back. Programs crash, but the system never does.
