I've logged around 1500 miles since my 4bt conversion, mostly back and forth to work 35 miles round trip, I decided to drive the '61 Town Wagon to southern New Mexico to get some parts from a friend. Total distance one way is 500 miles. All was going smoothly from central Colorado to the New Mexico border. As we crossed the border, my headlight fuse blew. Trouble shot it to the trailer I am towing. Changed fuses, disconnected the trailer pigtail and continued on. Within the next ten miles, I started loosing power, then the truck just stopped. Trouble shooting I found an aluminum fuel line had cracked. Mcgivered a piece of rubber fuel line onto the aluminum line with a bolt in the other end to keep fuel from flowing. Lucky I've got a two tank system. Switched ove to the second tank, bled the injectors and we were off again. Performance was lacking, but we made it to Espanola for the night. I found I can run on three cylinders, as the front injector needs to be re tightened. Tomorrow will be another day, hopefully without any further issues.
