The 318La was a total rebuilt 1965. She was bone stock in every way. I built my own Saginaw Power Steering.
Let me digress......the same truck is now powered with a Cummins B3.9, NV-4500 5 speed OD tranny. She is capable of any legal road speed, pulls like a locomotive, typically gets in the 29.x to 30.x mpg. Awesome engine.
