Jerry, I remember you had the devil but what did you end up doing with yours??? Did you install the 5 speed in your truck??
From looking at some other truck ptos I have I am thinking the rub is that weird spacer adapter, if one has the correct one for a 540 looks like the pto is not the problem, its that adapter that moves the pto away from the transmission so it will clear the crossmember. My 500 truck is non power steering alas. I dont want a hyda winch for sure. I guess I will google on ebay for a pto book and look thru various google images of np 540s and np 540 ptos to see if i can score a photo of one with maybe the pto adapter serial r part number showing so I can try to call some HD truck places that build winch trucks, I also am thinking that Dodge will have a part number for that pto and spacer that mite be a wild lucky search to see if still available, or just get the PN to goole search thur truck parts inventory??? I am not sure if a 435 still has parts availble or who rebuilds them. Does anybody know a online source for pto applications or a book title to look for online to buy? Thanks for the reply.
