Manny,

You are probably flying into Spokane? Stop at Cabela's in Post Falls, Id. It's on your way to Kellogg on I-90, and maybe the lodge at Cour D' Alene Lake for lunch.

If you want to see the scenic route on your way to the Grand Canyon, including some of the most diverse and beautiful sites in the country, then;

Go back on I-90 to Spokane and go south through the Paloose country on 195 towards Lewiston, Id.
SE out of Lewiston, Id on 95 to I-84 (Lewiston grade and beautiful Idaho country)
E and then SE on I-84 / I-15 to St Lake City & Great Salt lake
Continue S & SW on I-15 through Utah and north side of Grand Canyon (probably not open until may) lots of sites / side trips along the way
Continue Into Nevada on I-15 to Las Vegas, then SE on 515 to 93 across Hoover Dam and into Az and SE to Kingman.
East on 40 to Williams, Az then north on 64 to the Grand Canyon west entrance (see the Lodge).
East on 64 on Grand Canyon parkway and all the sites / stops to east entrance, then east to I-89.
South on 89 to Flagstaff …. couple of must see ruins for the family just north of Flagstaff, you can get out and walk right through them.

Head south on I-89 to Sedona, Az one of the most scenic spots in the country. Take the family on a Pink Jeep Tour of "Broken Arrow" . Sounds tourist-ee, but very cool, you'll see sites you won't see anywhere else and the kids will remember it forever. And you won't risk banging up your new truck!

have fun, Jared
