Sounds like just in the nick of time as well. Too bad they were not more careful with them when they loaded them.
I think the lady with the junkyard is guilty for removing stolen property, and I would think you could sue her for damages. Take some pictures of the trucks, document before and after conditions, and then call Dave Butler and get him to place a value on getting what you need to fix the trucks damage based on his parts prices. Add in body shop fees for labor, and you have numbers to sue for.
She can claim all she wants that they look like scrap, I am sure I and other people could come up with values that would stand up in court based on sales of other trucks.
I sure hope that 57 W100 Town Wagon survived, that is one of the nicer ones I have seen.
