You set the governor, not just open the throttle. Sounds like you have a good idea.

Hmm, I do know that hydraulic systems can get huge surges of pressure. Perhaps there is an accumulator problem? Or you need to add one?

But hey, aren't filters on the return - low pressure- side? If you are blowing filters, you must have a blockage between filter and tank?

Or alternatively, filters are on the inlet side of pump, between tank and pump. They operates under suction, only way to blow one is if tank is not vented?

But I'm ingorant, don't really have any hydraulic experience.
