the bracket you welded is bent look at the middle of the rear view that i am looking at here > you will have to correct the bend outward > to raise what you have there jack up the bracket and pount it straight > also i might point out is to me it (bracket should be bolted or riveted > at least put a bolt in to insure the mount doesnt spilt that weld off > also you might ask some of the more experienced fellows here why there is all that welding at the shackel ??? may be post a picture of that weld for all to see whats going on there > when i used to repair trucks that have been wrecked and repiared you can get good at fitting "gaps by stretching diagonaly the cab but thats a advanced move but can be done my son ` Copey
