I bought a Hobart from the farm store. It was about 200$. Its not the best and its not the worst. For hobby welding it does just fine. Its fast and has various settings for different types of welding. The one thing I dont like is the darkness setting can get moved around easily. You got to be careful that you have the darkness setting on the mark you want. Otherwise you may find you have welded on 7 instead of 10 or 12.

Working on autobody at home you are gonna do a zap here and a zap there. You arent gonna strike an arc and weld for 20 minutes straight.
