After I read the original post, and went to T137.com to read the Paccar paperwork on that site,(which is the only paperwork I have seen for the MU-2) which if you look closely there is a phone number for Paccar, I called them and asked for technical support specifically for the Braden MU-2R.
The service tech I spoke to has worked there for over 20 years and is very familiar with the MU-2. The manual he pointed me to is for worm gear winches, which as we all know the MU-2 is a worm gear winch, but it also covers some other models, and it has the only literature I have seen on the capstan sheaves. This has to be by far the most in depth info I have read on the MU-2, albiet mostly service info. The only reason I included it to the post is I thought it had relevant information, and that others would benefit from it.
The service tech told me that Braden, if you believe this, never made a teardown manual. He suggested that I check forums and search the internet, which I have been doing... also that the military is the most likely to have made there own manual.
If anyone has any real concrete service and repair/rebuild manuals for the MU-2, Braden or otherwise, I would love to see it. My winch is pulled off the WDX and I am itching to pull it apart to rebuild it, I just need more information....
