They didn't make the M37 axle housing different from the WDX-WM300 models. They made the WDX-WM300 different from everything else (except the WC 6x6).

The M37 has basically a centered pumpkin not unlike the WWII Dodge 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks, and the civilian 2WD trucks. The WDX-WM300 is sort of the oddball with the offset pumpkin.

The whole reason for the offset pumpkin in the WDX-WM300 was to allow clearance for the rear PTO tailshaft.

As far as exact measurements on the axle shafts, contact Vintage Power Wagons. They sell both and should be able to quickly get the dimensions for you if they do not already know it by heart.
