I've always just had them cut at Speedy Glass in North Van. The last truck I had done was $300 to cut both side glass, the rear glass, both front glass & to supply the packing & install the front glass in the frame for me.
The glass is basically worthless...you're just paying for labor, more or less, so $1000 seems ridiculous to me. They'd do all your glass in a couple of hours if you bring them templates.
