I have a 25 lb spool of welding wire marked "MIL-E-21562D AMEND 6". Anybody know what this is and whether it's something a normal person can use? It's made by Sandvik and is whitish colored. The only thing I found on-line is "TURBALOY® 67", which claims to be "MIL-E-21562D AMEND 7" and is 30% nickel and 70% copper, more or less. I have no idea if "AMEND 6" is similar or is an entirely different substance. I'll probably try a bit just to see what happens. It would be nice it if worked like a stainless steel and you could weld steel with it. Or maybe it's some super fancy super expensive aerospace alloy that's only good for welding titanium rocket motors or something.
