assuming they have similar upgrades as a 440 between the 2 years.71 probably has stiffening ribs on the sides of the block and heads with 174 exaust valves and the 65 probably has 160 exaust valves both have 208 intake both forged steel crank 71 has heavier connecting rods and has a weighted harmonic balancer and flywheel the 65 is internally balanced. look at the balancer on the 71 it should look similar to a 360 balancer with an offset raised area if it has heavy conecting rods and the ribs on the side of the block are plane as day. if its a cast crank (not forged)73 or higher the balancer will have something cast into it to that effect and look like a 360 balancer
