Suppose you have a Power Wagon that has a decent frame and drivetrain but that the cab is eaten through with rust. Since original cabs are getting scarce you might opt for the fiberglass cab rather than sending the truck to the scrapyard.

Also, The Power Wagon like most trucks is not constructed of a unitized body/space frame. That means that the body shell does not contribute much to the overall stiffness of the vehicle. The frame, suspension and drivetrain are where most of the durability or "toughness" comes from.
