The Army bought some stock Power Wagons for use mainly around bases after WWII, before the M37 came out.
The Army also continued to buy pickups from various companies even after they had the M37. The M37 was the tactical truck, and these other pickups were mainly used around the bases. Many were 4x2's. Dodge, Ford, Chevy, GMC and Willy's supplied pickups.
