Sorry boys, as much as I love PW's & have never even owned a Unimog...a Power Wagon can't hold a candle to a Unimog on a farm.
What I like about PW's in order of importance? Classic look, simplicity, reliability, ability.
Lets be serious...a power wagon express bed is hard pressed to haul a load of dirt without damaging it.
What I like about a Unimog in order of importance? Ability, Engineering, versatility, Massive cool look.
One's a classic cool old military truck...the other is a very, very expensive highly engineered utility vehicle.
I'm not bad mouthing Dodges...I love Power Wagons but lets be realistic here.
My only disappointment is that the best Dodge can do to update the classic 46-68 WDX/WM300 is the modern 2004-2010 "Power Wagon" that's a glorified 1/2 ton gas truck only with unreliable electric lockers that often won't engage.
I have no problem giving credit where credit is due & the Unimog deserves it even if you think it's ugly or slow.
