I dont think that they changed the mounting holes in the hood when they went to the newer style emblems in 1963 or 1964. I have a hood from a 1964 or newer PW, that had the newer style emblems on it and I used the hood on a older PW, and the older style emblems bolted right on, I did not have to drill any new holes.
One thing I have always wondered since we are talking about emblems,, is when they stopped having "Made in USA" on the bottom center part of the Power and Wagon emblem??
I have one set of emblems off of a 1955 C3-PW6-126 I parted out and neither of them say Made in USA on them, I have checked a few of the other 1954, 1955, 1956 PW's I know of and none of them say Made in USA on them either. I also used to own a 1954 C1-PW6-126 and neither of the emblems on that truck had the Made in USA on them.
But all the others emblems I have are from Pre-1952 trucks and they all say Made in USA on them. I have always wondered when they stopped saying "Made in USA"??
I only guessing,,, but I think maybe it was around 1953 or 1954?????
