By process of elimination, if it's not magnetic, it's probably monel. Nickel/chrome stainless alloys were still pretty exotic back then whereas monel was more widely used than it is today. I'm pretty sure the copper will dissolve out in nitric acid and make a bluish/green color, which is a test the scrap guys do. I think it's a neat thing and I would definitely use it for something (maybe even heating water) if I had it. If you're heading to the rally from Yakima via I-90 and it falls of the truck near Wallace, I'll put it to use! If nothing else, it could be an additional receiver for an air compressor, after hydrostatically testing it, of course.
