I didn't. It was on my old machine. I installed s script blocker and that helped as it will hang when the script tries to send the browser elsewhere but it doesn't hang the browser so I just click on reload and it works. It's the machine my kids use now so it's no big deal. As I mentioned, none of the scans I did found anything. and I'm not the kind of computer guy to want to spend much time figuring it out as I'm too busy writing code. My plan is to just wipe the machine clean and reinstall OS but it's not a crippling issue for me, just an annoyance on Google and for whatever reason some other sites, but not most. Sorry I can't help.

Perhaps you have multiple issues going on. I'd recommend downloading and running SPybot, AdAware and Malwarebytes, they all offer free products and between those three can get most issues caused by crap like this fixed.
