It 'sounds' like you have found a work around for either disk/drum or disk/disk. I urge caution. My NAPA dealer who is really large in trucks told me that NO Hydroboost unit comes with the Hydroboost to MC push rod or spring. He said it is assumed that this is a replacement part and the re-use of the old push rod and spring woudl be done.
