I'll relay a story that happened a few years ago. Went out and got treated to fancy meal by a family friend. We were all waiting in line and some youger guy with his entourage strolls up to the front by us and says he wants in.
They informed him all tables were full and they'd see what they could do. He blew up and was acting like a spolied brat. He finally yelled, Don't you know who I am?" I looked at him and said, "Yea, a jerk that doesn't want to wait his turn because YOU think your special."
He got red in the face and stormed off. All night long people came up to our table and thanked me for saying that. I don't understand why people worship others.
On the other end of the spectrum, Went to see a movie when I was in high school and a guy and an older couple were following me in. Held the door for them and got in line. Guy said thanks and we started talking. Really nice guy and we sat beside each other. As we were walking out I found out it was Mike Schmidt who played for the Phillies baseball team. He grew up here in Dayton and his parents still lived here at the time.
True gentlemen and didn't ask for any special treatment as he was just taking his parents out.
