So you have never done something to your truck, and stood back and said to yourself"that looks good" even some basic repair, such as putting on a new water pump or new hoses. Sure, it looks good, but it wasnt done to look good, it was done to improve the truck. Same as the tires. the comment "They look cool" was certainly not anyones justification to use the 11,00s, but is an undeniable side effect. Plus it gave you a chance to get in a jab at me!
