Front fenders will be the killer- $400 each?
Windshield frame ohhh... $400-700?
Serviceable/repairable Cab about $400
You didn't mention the bed, nice one about $2-3,000

Engine and trans replacement sounds like an upgrade in the works.

My own truck has about $9,000 in it, and I didn't put a dime into the running gear, it was all good, crank pulley to wheels. Fresh engine. $1,000 brought it home, complete- except for the ton that had rusted away. Nuther cab, $400, door, headache board $300, $600 for rubber in the cab. Every panel needed at least one patch welded in. $1,000 for sand blasting- the only labot I paid for. $200 for oak. $500 for Michelins, direct from Camp Pendleton. $600 at the paint store on one trip, more to follow. Cut my own glass from junkyard motorhome windshields. I kept all receipts, but guess 1500 hours. Every man needs a hobby...

But like Dirty Harry said " A man's got to know his limitations". Do you know yours- yet?
