David, thanks for all the info. The engine gets REALLY hot on a ~1 mile drive. Nothing is leaking, the hoses feel hot enough to melt, and if you stall out the engine, it won't restart until it sits for a little bit. The first time it happened, steam was comming out from the radiator cap. The second time it happened it was a shorter drive, so I don't think it had time to build up the temp. I will poke at it tonight and see how the radiator feels.
