it made me take a closer look at mine.

The shaft I have for a 48 MU2, is round. It has two yokes with a u joint at one end. At this end the yoke has a key to the shaft, and what appears to be a bolt with the head broken off on the oposing side of the keyway. The other yoke has a hole in the flange, which to my learning, is for the shear pin???

The other end of the shaft has splines, and nothing more than a disc with splines in it, slid on to the shaft, with a square head bolt screwed in it.

So does this mean I need a sliding yoke for the splined end? And does the splined end go to the PTO, with the yoked end and shear pin going thru the hole on the winch pin, that has a hole in it??

I have pics, but no way to post em.

Thanks
Nick
