You are right, Manny. The problem and the solution are one and the same: PROFIT.
I was reflecting on this earlier today. I was welding and grinding, fabricating some parts for one of my trucks.
I have an old Milwaukee side head grinder with a 7" wheel that is about 40 years old. I have 4 other 4 1/2" Makita and DeWalt grinders that need to be replaced every 2 years or so. I have a Skil worm drive 7 1/4" saw that was made in the '50s. It still works perfectly. I have bought both of my 2 sons at least 5 new junk worm drive Skil Saws as well as a couple Milwaukees. I was using my old putty knife to scrape some sealant off. It has a nice rosewood handle. My other ones have plastic handles. This could go on for days.
