Local dealer is pushing the Stihl MS 290, concedes that they are part of the "mid-range" line (i.e. plastic c**p construction), but insists that they are better than the plastic c**p at Home Depot.

I am inclined to think that this is a bunch of sales baloney, and that plastic c**p is plastic c**p, but anybody know anything about this saw? The MS 361 has been dropped from production, replaced by the Al Gore approved MS 362, which I hear is having real problems and is to be avoided.
