Jerry, ever pop the top of a distribitor on a late 70's mopar big block and see the twin pick-ups? one was to retard the timing at speed. had something to do with emissions I think. it was illlegal to drag race with as they didn't allow a spark retard at speed on the top end. don't know why, it was just in the rules???
