I worked in a precision fabrication shop, worked with my brother making custom furniture, and he was a shipfitter at NASSCO. 1/16 is probably precise enough for rocket science. In fact, some of what I made was for Star Wars, the Reagan kind. Long, long ago, not all that far away.
