scroll to tires & wheels
get on to Paul Cook's site NDT tires link
scroll thru to get to the tech manual pages
on combat wheels - print off the pictures
so if you take them to a tire shop the personnel will know what they are working with. there are probably zero tire men today
who have every worked with or even seen RUN FLAT rings. with these rings/units in place the beads CANNOT be depressed down from the rim flanges and to make the matter even worse
original NDT tires had a bead foot of about
1.5 inch (same for the heal part) not like the little 1/2 inchers of todays chicken skins. there is a KEN TOOL wedge tool that
you drive between the rim flange and the bead
and go slowly around the rim tapping away
and eventually the bead will come loose
