Last shop we did before I retired was with "festo" equipment; used all their fittings and air lines for a great over-all result. Don't know how it would compare to other stuff these days, but was better than copper prices 4 years ago in Oz. Festo fittings we used slid over the pipe and were self locking - no restrictions - available in plastic, aluminum or stainless.
