bill - im the one with the command car. the command car that manny rogers owns was tucked in a garage outside boston. mine was a european return and if it was in that condition, i would have been done years ago. nice truck. i see the antenna is vertical. mine is too. ive seen them both ways. im went vertical because the holes on my body are set that way. mercedes did some nice mods. they did larger third member in the rear and a 2 ton steering box and a uprated intermediate shaft on my early truck. they machined some housings to take what i assume to be metric seals of a superior design. it came with yellow 3 piece light units that i sourced nos and retained. they have parking lights INSIDE the reflector assembly. i wired them into the blackout circuit and then wired the fender blackouts to act as turn signals. the blackout units were replaced with period turn signals that have the same shape buckets but leaded amber glass lenses. it looks stock to the casual guy, but is a nice mod in my opinion. wont likely see another like it.
