Hey Dave how's it going overthere? Where do you get time to work on all your stuff? By the time I get everything thawed out around here it's gettin dark and time to put it all up for the night. I assume you are replacing your races, why else would anybody want to remove them, so, because you will be disposing of them anyway, just run a bead with your welder around the inside of the race where the bearings usually sit. This doesn't have to be a real hot weld, just run a continous bead around the inside, let it cool, smack it down on the table face down and it should drop out. If it doesn't just fall out you will probably now be able to wiggle it out with common methods. Another way is just cut the race on one side with a torch, it will then fold in on it's self. This is obviously easier to say than do. Just remember to preheat the race very well in the spot your going to cut and then becareful to cut the race only, I do it all the time without even making a mark on the part holding the race. It's an acuired thing but you can do it. Just remember your cutting the race not the holder. Try welding the bead around the inside though. This is the preferred method, almost zero chance of damage to anything else. Chris
