In the last three hours I've had two diesel mech. tell me that the oil pressure issues that I'm having with the truck that I haul my PW with could be due to the oil pump collasping the oil filter closed. the problem started on the way home from Fairfield this summer. go along w/41to44 lbs of oil pressure and then drop off to 19-20 lbs for 30 mi. or so then back up to 40. after I got home it got low enough to be uncomfortable with so I parked it for a while to figure what to do next. I made an appointment w/ the mechanic but the pressure was too low to even drive to the shop. another mech. said that the relief spring could be broken or the sending unit could have a piece of junk in it. now the question is, has anyone had any of this stuff happen to them? 95, 3500 CTD five speed,od 258,000 mi.
