The mounting faces on the front of the winch housing are not at 90 degree angle to the winch casting. The rear of the winch sits lower than the front of the winch so the front mounting surface is 10 or so degrees beyond 90 degrees. I have never seen a bent winch housing yet. The shaft end support is often bent. I have seen the front and rear mounting angles bent to heck as well as the end support but never the winch housing mounting surfaces. Check to make sure that the "bend" that you see is not the normal angle for winch casting. Remember that the front of the winch is mounted on top of the cable guides which puts it about 3" above the frame. This makes the front mount 3" higher than the rear mount of the winch which means that there is quite an angle to the winch mounting surfaces as that 3" if difference has to be made up in the 12" +- between the front and rear winch mounting surfaces. VPW and others have the support end in either NOS or repops.
