Thanks, I read a lot of good info in the archives. The Cummins 4bt seems to be the engine of choice. Here is what I'm thinking, find an early 90's dodge cummins 3/4 ton 4x4 with the 5 speed manual tranny. Swap the entire drive train, axles, tranny & transfer case, find a good used 4bt, use the bell housing adapter, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate and starter from the 6bt and install on the 4bt. hopefull the steering gear box and power steering unit will also fit, brake booster/mastercylinder unit, and I have a great running B3 for highway and off road use! Sell off the 6bt and part out the body to recupe some of the dough and I'm in business! OK, besides being a lot of work, somebody talk me out of it!
