From the firewall forward, my WC-53 frame and engine compartment is the same as my Power Wagon. With that said, originally I had a 318 in my Power Wagon. It was close between the starter and Saginaw reverse rotation steering box (power steering) ...roughly .500". But it worked well.
I find that to get needed clearance for a B3.9 engine in my PW/WC/M37 moving the engine
1.625" to the right is required. You may have to move your engine somewhat to the right also. Just remember, keep everything parallel with the rear differential pinion .
